Dr. Fredric Kendrick
Dr. Fredric Kendrick is a media and communications expert known for his expertise in mobile videography, journalism, and content creation.
Kendrick has lead numerous University department’s TV studio and newsroom efforts. Kendrick teaches undergraduate courses in TV Production, Newswriting, and Communication Theories among others. Research interests include credentialing in local TV, and celebrity reputation management. Presented papers and panels include participation at the (2015) International Information and Communications Researchers and Scholars Conference in Havana, Cuba; (2010) AEJMC Southeast Colloquium; (2009) Graduate Research Symposium at North Carolina Central University; and (2009) Broadcast Education Association Convention.
Kendrick is a member of the Broadcast Education Association, the Investigative Reporters and Editors, and the National Association of Black Journalists.
Kendrick is a native of Montgomery, AL where he began his career in news, working in both print and broadcast, from The Montgomery Advertiser to local news stations WAKA, WNCF, WIAT, WBMA. On a national level Kendrick’s writing credits include TeenPeople Magazine, TeenZone, Channel One News, and more. A news veteran, Kendrick’s journalism efforts span across production to newsroom to sales to architectural design of studio spaces.
