Dr. Fredric Kendrick teaches journalism and media communications to varied audiences all over the world, including Bahrain, Cuba, Panama, and United Arab Emirates to name a few. Kendrick conducts ethnographic and evaluative research. Dr. Fredric Kendrick also consults on media initiatives to governments, NGOs, and private entities and entrepreneurs alike.
Kendrick’s teaching philosophy is rooted in the Socratic Method:
The Socratic Method is collaborative interaction between student and teacher inquiry that leads students to the correct answers via their own common ideas, training, and self-discovery.
Dr. Kendrick fashions himself as a “Hybrid-Instructor” of the Socratic Method in the sense that he has experience as a practitioner who continues writing journalism and video editing while teaching and conducting research —a skill that is invaluable to the student.
